It is located a few kilometers from Noto, the capital of Sicilian Baroque, near the archaeological park of ancient Notho on Mount Alveria.
The Spaces
The structure, a farmhouse owned by the Guarino Lo Bianco family since the end of the nineteenth century, looked after over time with passion, has an old completely renovated oil mill that overlooks a characteristic Sicilian baglio, a garden of carob and olive trees and a manor house that offers the possibility of hosting the couple.
Outside there is a large parking lot.
The Name
The name is a tribute to the family roots and the history of the place. “U Ianco” was in fact Don Vincenzo Guarino Lo Bianco, the one who at the end of the nineteenth century gave great productive impetus and industriousness to the farmhouse, a real agricultural village where many families lived and worked.
Where to Stay
From the Baglio, you can access the resort Il Carosello dei Baroni, which was once part of the same masseria. It features a relaxation area with a swimming pool and 10 double rooms (including doubles, triples, and quadruples), all renovated using materials that respect the location and its historical character.
